Tammy C. Propst

With more than 18 years of incentive and financing experience, Tammy founded taxadvantagegroup (tag) llc in April 2004.

Prior to tag, Tammy was the National Partner-in-Charge of KPMG’s Strategic Relocation and Expansion Service practice and Business Incentive Group, where she was responsible for tax credits, discretionary incentives, site selection, and economic development projects nationally. After receiving her master’s degree, she also worked for Bayer AG, located in Leverkusen, Germany.

Relevant Experience

  • Performed site selection activities for large public and private companies
  • Advised public and private organizations on the formation of Community Development Entities
  • Drafted successful New Markets Tax Credit Allocation Applications totaling $314 million in funding
  • Operating Officer of the Greenville New Markets Opportunity LLC, responsible for the management and deployment of $89 million of tax credit subsidized real estate financing
  • Advised economic development organizations on strategy, structure, creative funding mechanisms, and target marketing
  • Assisted corporations on the technical aspects of business location in the United States, including: tax credits, property tax reductions, employment withholding tax reductions, financing alternatives, alternative apportionment agreements, sales tax exemptions, training grants, and tax credit project financing
  • Member of the Advisory Board of Tax Incentive Alert (TIA)
  • Member of the Advisory Board of South Carolina Bank and Trust (SCB&T)
  • Member of the Advisory Board of Development Magazine, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP)
